  1. Hello Jess!
I hope you can help me about my next year travel in Iran.
How did you make e-visa? How you made the photos? I tried to make 600X400, 240 kb max, but the result is not good.
    Thanks (:

    1. Hi Antonio

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

We applied for a 60 day eVISA online via: http://e_visa.mfa.ir/en/
We arrived to Iran via the airport at Shiraz & received a 60 day VISA with no issues. I have not heard of other tourists getting greater than 30 days though, which is the standard amount.

Sounds like you have already seen there are quite strict regulations to the photos you must upload for the VISA application. They are explained in detail here, https://evisatraveller.mfa.ir/en/request/digital_image_requirement/?title_name=photo
I did have to play around a bit until I got the re-sized photo to be accepted. What I needed to do was change the ‘Image Dimensions’, the size, when I opened the JPG file on my computer.
If you have the option for ‘Fit Into _________ pixels’, select ‘Custom’ from the drop down menu.

You will then probably need to untick the box to ‘scale proportionally’. You will then be able to change BOTH the height and width pixel amounts to the exact numbers in the VISA instructions (i.e. 600 & 400 pixels respectively, for the passport photo). The final image will probably look a little stretched but this is not a problem.

I hope this helps. Have a great time on your holiday!

      Jess
